Tampa Bay Photo Shootout - Inspirational, Fun and a Surprise

My scheduled Keynote Address April 10 inspired me to approach these dedicated photographers with a whole new program, one that appealed to the inspiration behind the images, the human psychology guiding both photographers and viewers.

I am available for corporate and non-profit multimedia inspirational presentations.  Call for more info. 239-405-2003

NYC - 67th Floor WTC - Artist Todd Stone: Witness

Established watercolorist Todd Stone was in his studio five blocks away when the towers came down. Todd painted through the terror and into Downtown Rising.  His temporary studio is on the 67th Floor of Four World Trade Center - an unimpeded view up to the peak of the new tower and straight down into the twin pools.  Even the 360 degree view -- WTC tower to the Statue of Liberty on the other side -- could not upstage the power of his humanist interpretation of the American horror and rising from the ashes. We met Todd and his wife, Lori, in Down Dog at Guardian Mary Barley’s home in Islamorada, another testament to the power of friendships.

It’s not Everglades, but like Guardians of the Everglades, it’s about the power of a personal story interpreted by an artist.

Franklin Adams Tells it All - About Fakahatchee

Tom and Judy Maish hosted a Talk with Guardian Franklin Adams evening, and we videoed him in action -- two hours of first person experiences in the south Florida swamps from the 1930s on.  Edited clips coming . . . next newsletter.

YOIK?  Yikes!  Ánde Sonby’s Animals Inside Us

From the northlands, what we may know as Lapland, Ande brought Yoik impersonations to a Bowery poetry reading. We were invited . . and loved the serendipitous connection to sister Charlotte.
